Letters to Parents
Parents and guardians,
As we prepare for the 2018-19 school year, we would like to thank you for your support.
With the shortage of school bus drivers facing school districts across the state as well as Grape Creek ISD, we'll be making every effort to get riders to school and returned on time. To do this, we request your assistance in having your riders prepared to board the bus as soon as it arrives at the loading location.
Also, since the buses will be filled to near capacity, no large items (band instruments, school projects, etc.) can be transported on the bus. Each rider will be allotted one seat in which to sit, and will be required to keep whatever they bring aboard the bus on their lap or under their seat.
As there will be crowding on the bus, we want everyone to respect the bus rules outlined on the "Bus Rules Defined" page. No eating or drinking (other than water) will be allowed on the buses. This is a sanitation requirement to avoid the possibility of allergic reactions and to assist the bus driver in keeping the bus clean.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (325) 655-1735 extension 6000 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will make every effort to answer your question as soon as possible.
Dave Augustine, Director
Grape Creek ISD Transportation Department
