Grape Creek Varsity Cheerleaders win Grand Champs, Top Banana, and first place honors.

Grape Creek ISD is super excited about the huge accomplishments of the 2019-2020 Varsity Cheer Team and their coach Tara Salisbury! This talented group recently attended the UCA cheerleading camp at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas receiving top honors and awards! The varsity team earned two first place spots competing against numerous teams from all over the State of Texas! Their first place honors were earned from the scores they received by a panel of judges at the camp, scoring each teams performance of the Rally Dance ( formally known as the the Extreme Routine) and the Game Day competition ( consisting of a sideline band dance, sideline chant, and a cheer). This talented group also brought home the coveted TOP BANANA award for being the most spirited squad at camp! The prize for winning Top Banana which includes recognition at the awards ceremony the last day of camp, the huge blow up banana used at camp activities all week , and a gatorade cooler full of Gatorade mix packets. This amazing team ended the camp with a bang, earning the title of the UCA Small Division Champions of 2019! We are so very proud of this group, their coach, and their outstanding accomplishments! Everyone needs to come out and see this talented group in action while they cheer on the Eagles this upcoming season!

Grape Creek Community Opportunities

Attention Grape Creek Community!
About a year ago we met with the Galilee Community Development Corporation and the USDA about opportunities for the Grape Creek Community. Today we were excited to be a part of a ground breaking ceremony hosted by the Galilee Community Development Center who will begin construction on their first home in their newest program geared toward building homes in rural areas. Their first home will be located in Grape Creek across from the High School and New Middle School.
Gallilee is a nonprofit organization that builds new homes and also provides light repairs for senior citizens and disabled homeowners. Families that are interested in purchasing this new home can be aided by the USDA. More information can be found at www.galileecdc.org. Please contact them about these amazing opportunities. They will be building other homes in Grape Creek in the near future!
Thank you for your continued support!
We are working hard for our amazing students and our outstanding community as well!

Sincerely,
Angie Smetana
Superintendent
