NOTICE! High School Student Dropoff/Pickup to Change Oct. 28

The high school student dropoff and pickup will change as of Monday, October 28. No longer will students use the front "horseshoe" for dropoff/pickup. Instead, students will be dropped off and picked up at the NORTH horseshoe (the area currently being used by the buses). Buses will now use the front horseshoe. This is being done beginning Monday in preparation for the opening of the new Grape Creek Middle School facility the following week.

Open House set for Grape Creek Middle School

An Open House for the new middle School will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, Dec. 5. The community is encouraged to attend the come and go event and tour the facilities and classrooms. Snacks and drinks will be provided for all visitors. Please note this will not be a teacher conference night.

Superintendent Smetana receives Champions for Dyslexia Award

Supt. Angie Smetana was awarded the 2019 Champions for Children with Dyslexia Award from the JPW Foundation at a ceremony held October 23 in San Angelo. This award is presented to those who have made special contributions to improve the lives of those living with Dyslexia. The James Phillips Williams (JPW) Memorial Foundation provides resources for teacher training, tutoring and summer programs. Mrs. Smetana was commended for her work through early childhood testing for dyslexia before it was mandated.
