Grape CreekIndependent School District

Good Luck to all our students taking the STAR test in the upcoming weeks

Our Location

Grape Creek is a small community north of San Angelo, Texas in Tom Green County. The school district covers 171 square miles (all within the county) and is bordered by San Angelo ISD, Water Valley ISD, Robert Lee ISD, Bronte ISD, Miles ISD, and Veribest ISD. It was a K-8 district until 1996-97 and has since phased in classes one year at a time until it graduated its first senior class in May of 2000.

Driving instructions to GCISD: Take Highway 87N (North Bryant) heading Northwest out of San Angelo. Drive until you see an overpass and a green exit sign that says FM 2288, Grape Creek, SA State Park. Take that exit, turn right at the C&W store and follow Grape Creek Road until you see the High School on your right. (Be sure to ignore all Grape Creek Road signs until you see the green exit sign at the overpass.) To reach the Elementary/Middle School campus continue up Grape Creek Road past the High School and the campus will be on your left at the intersection of Grape Creek Road and Wren Road.

To reach the administration building for GCISD, take the same exit, but turn left under the underpass. The administration offices are in the big white building across from the convenience store.
